Tarbus

Tarbus (pinjaman Arab: طربوش‎, rumi: ṭarbūš,[1] beakar dari Parsi: سرپوش‎, rumi: sarpuš, lit. 'topi') atau kopiah setambul ialah suatu sarung kepala berbentuk silinder dan lazim berwarna merah diperbuat daripada baldu serta dihiasi rumbai hitam di atasnya.

Topi ini muncul semasa tamadun Yunani Purba,[2][3] atau rantau Balkan[4] semasa Empayar Byzantium; namun ia mula masyhur dipakai dalam kalangan ramai semasa zaman Empayar Uthmaniyah berkembang luas kuasa dah pengaruhnya.[5][6] Pemakaiannya ini diharamkan oleh Presiden Mustafa Kemal Atatürk selepas penubuhan Republik Turki pada tahun 1925.[7]
