Talamus

Talamus (dari bahasa Yunani θάλαμος, "kebuk")[1] adalah suatu jisim yang besar dari jirim kelabu di bahagian dorsal (belakang) diensefalon otak dengan beberapa fungsi seperti menyampaikan isyarat deria - termasuk isyarat motor - ke korteks serebrum,[2][3][halaman diperlukan] dan mengawalatur kesedaran, tidur, dan kecerdasan manusia.[4]

Ia merupakan struktur bersimetri garis tengah pada dua bahagian dalam otak haiwan vertebrata yang terletak di antara korteks serebrum dan otak tengah.
