Stigmatopelia

Spilopelia adalah satu genus burung dalam Columbidae yang bersaudara rapat dengan Streptopelia, tapi dibezakan dari segi morfologi dan kelakukan. Beberapa pengarang bertikai bahawa Stigmatopelia adalah nama yang sah kerana ia muncul dalam garis sebelumnya meskipun kedua-duanya disusun oleh Sundevall,[1][2] tetapi Schodde dan Mason dalam katalog zoologi mereka berkaitan dengan burung-burung di Australia memilih Spilopelia dengan memetik klausa 24(b) dalam Kod ICZN yang mana menyokong keputusan semakan pertama.[3]

 
Satu kedudukan pilogenetik berdasarkan pada Johnson et al. (2001). Kemungkinan kedua di mana Columba adalah lebih tua bagi Streptopelia tetapi clade selebihnya kemungkinan monopiletik.[4]
