Siborg
Siborg (bahasa Inggeris: cyborg - akronim cybernetic organism - "organisma sibernetik") ialah makhluk hidup dengan kedua-dua bahagian organik dan biomekatronik dalam badan. Ia lebih merujuk kepada organisma yang dipertingkatkan kemampuan dan dayanya hasil penerapan teknoloi diberi suap maklumat daripada badan perumah.[1]
Teori ini mula diungkapkan oleh Manfred Clynes dan Nathan S. Kline pada tahun 1960 di The New York Times dalam ulasan laporan kajian mereka mengenai kesan penerbangan angkasa lepas terhadap psikofisiologi badan manusia,[2][3] namun ia mula difikirkan sejak sebelum abad ke-20 lagi oleh seberapa sasterawan seperti Edgar Allan Poe (dalam cerpen "The Man That Was Used Up", 1843) dan Jean de La Hire (dalam Le Mystère des XV, 1911).[4][5][6]
