Salsa
Salsa (turunan kata Latin salsa bentuk muanas kata sifat salsus "diasinkan"[1]) ialah campuran ramuan yang digunakan untuk memperisa hidangan tertentu atau sebagai cecahan dalam masakan Mexico. Ia boleh dibuat dengan bahan yang mentah mahupun dimasak, ia terhidang dalam suhu suam-suam kuku.[2]
Jenis
- salsa roja - tomato dikisar bersama bawang merah dan putih, cili, lada sulah dan garam
- pico de gallo - diperbuat daripada cincangan tomato, bawang merah, cili, perahan limau nipis, garam dan ketumbar
- salsa verde - diperbuat daripada tomatillo dan lada hijau
