Ruqayyah

Ruqayyah merupakan putri Rasulullah, Nabi Muhammad s.a.w dari Khadijah yang dipersuntingkan oleh Utbah bin Abu Lahab sewaktu zaman Jahiliah.

Setelah munculnya Islam dan turunnya ayat yang bererti "Celakalah kedua tangan Abu Lahab dan dia juga akan celaka" (S. Al-Masad ayat 1),dia langsung dicerai oleh suaminya atas perintah Abu Lahab. Dia memeluk Islam bersama ibunya. Kemudian dia dikahwini oleh Uthman bin Affan dan ikut bersama suaminya hijrah ke Abessina (Eriteria sekarang), kemudian mereka kembali dan menetap di Madinah seterusnya meninggal di kota itu pada 2 Hijrah.
