Ronny Xin Yi Chieng (Bahasa Cina: 錢信伊; pinyin: Qián Xìnyī; lahir 21 November 1985)[1] adalah seorang pelawak, pelakon dan bekas penyampai radio, Kewarganegaraan Malaysia (sehingga 2025) Kewarganegaraan Amerika Syarikat (sejak 2025).[2]
Beliau antara barisan panelis dalam rancangan The Daily Show produksi Comedy Central serta pencipta siri sitkom Ronny Chieng: International Student untuk Australia Broadcasting Corporation dan Comedy Central Asia tahun 2017.
Kehidupan awal dan pendidikan
Chieng lahir di Johor Bahru, Malaysia dari sebuah keluarga berketurunan Cina.[3][4] Beliau bersekolah rendah di Sekolah Rendah Fuchun seberang tambak di Singapura.[5] Beliau meneruskan pengajiannya di Pioneer Secondary School dan Pioneer Junior College dalam negara kota tersebut.[6][7][8]
Beliau melanjutkan pelajaran di Universiti Melbourne di Australia dan lulusan pada tahun 2009 dengan Ijazah Sarjana Muda Perdagangan dan Ijazah Sarjana Muda Undang-Undang.[9]
Kerjaya seni
Beliau memasuki barisan panelis The Daily Show produksi Comedy Central diacarakan Trevor Noah tahun 2015;[10] Chieng pernah berkenalan dengan Noah semasa mereka berdua dalam barisan membuat persembahan di suatu pesta komedi Melbourne tahun 2013.[10][11]
