Rhea adalah sejenis genus burung besar yang tidak boleh terbang yang berasal dari Amerika Selatan. Terdapat dua spesies dalam genus ini iaitu Rhea americana dan Rhea pennata.[2] Nama-nama setempat burung ini ialah ñandú atau ñandú guazu dalam bahasa Guaraní, suri dalam bahasa Quechua Selatan dan choique dalam bahasa Mapu.

Nama genus ini diberikan Paul Möhring pada tahun 1752 sempena Rea dewi pasangan Kronos kepercayaan Yunani Purba.[3]
