Prototaip

Prototaip (serapan Yunani: πρωτότυπον, rumi: prototypon "bentuk primitif" terbitan πρωτότυπος prototypos "asal, primitif" lakuran πρῶτος protos "pertama" dan τύπος typos "kesan"[1]) atau purbarupa (Mal., purwarupa Ind.) adalah satu jenis, bentuk (termasuk yang direka), atau contoh dari beberapa hal asal yang berfungsi menguji kaedah atau buah fikiran dirangkakan[2] secara membutirkan rincian yang pugau dan sebenar.[3] Beberapa prototaip digunakan untuk mencari kecacatan.
