Protosains
Protosains merupakan suatu bidang pembelajaran yang kelihatan selari dengan fasa awal kaedah saintifik dengan pengumpulan maklumat dan kaedah hipotesis, tetapi melibatkan spekulasi bahawa bidang tersebut masih belum dibuktikan melalui eksperimen mahupun belum disahkan atau diterima berdasarkan kesepakatan saintis. Protosains dibezakan dengan pelbagai bentuk spekulasi lain disebabkan pembentukannya dilakukan untuk tetap selari dengan semua bidang penyelidikan ilmiah yang berhubungan lainnya untuk dibuktikan secepat mungkin.
