Poskod
Poskod ialah jujukan angka dan/atau huruf yang ditambah pada alamat surat untuk memudahkan proses pengasingan surat.
Sistem poskod mula diperkenalkan di Kesatuan Republik Sosialis Soviet pada Disember 1932, namun dibatalkan pada tahun 1939. Sistem poskod diperkenalkan semula di Jerman pada tahun 1941, diikuti oleh Argentina pada tahun 1958, dan United Kingdom pada tahun 1959 dan Amerika Syarikat pada tahun 1963.
Pada Februari 2005, sudah terdapat 117 daripada 190 negara yang menganggotai Kesatuan Pos Sedunia mengguna pakai sistem poskod. Antara negara-negara yang tidak mempunyai sistem poskod ialah Ireland, Panama, dan Hong Kong.
