Perampas

Seorang perampas atau perampas kuasa ialah penuntut kuasa yang tidak sah atau kontroversi, selalunya tetapi tidak selalu dalam monarki. Dalam erti kata lain, seseorang yang mengambil kuasa sesebuah negara, bandar, atau wilayah yang ditubuhkan untuk dirinya sendiri, tanpa sebarang hak rasmi atau undang-undang untuk menuntutnya sebagai miliknya sendiri.[1] Para perampas kuasa boleh naik ke kuasa di sesuatu wilayah dengan kekuatan fizikal yang selalunya tidak dijangka, serta melalui pengaruh politik dan penipuan.[2]
