Paroki

Paroki (ejaan standard: parokhi[1]) ialah entiti wilayah di banyak mazhab Kristian, yang merupakan bahagian dalam keuskupan. Sebuah paroki berada di bawah jagaan pastoral dan bidang kuasa pendeta seorang imam, yang sering disebut sebagai imam paroki, yang mungkin dibantu oleh satu atau lebih kurator, dan yang beroperasi dari gereja paroki. Dari segi sejarah, sebuah paroki sering merangkumi kawasan geografi yang sama dengan sebuah rumah besar Hubungannya dengan gereja paroki tetap penting.[2]

Secara meluas istilah paroki tidak hanya merujuk kepada entiti wilayah tetapi untuk orang-orang dari komuniti atau jemaatnya serta harta gereja di dalamnya. Di England, harta gereja ini secara teknikal dimiliki oleh pastor paroki ex-officio, diberikan kepadanya di institusinya ke paroki itu.[3][4][5][6]
