Monotes adalah genus tumbuhan berbunga dalam keluarga Dipterocarpaceae. Namanya yang bermaksud "ketersendirian" atau "perpaduan" dipilih lantaran ia satu-satunya genus dipterokarpa yang diketahui ditemukan di Afrika. Daerah Zambezia adalah pusat kerencaman genus ini.[1]
