Microtomarctus ialah satu genus pupus bagi Borophaginae dan kanin darat yang mendiami kebanyakan Amerika Utara semasa peringkat Whitney (20.6 jtl) bagi subepok Miosen Awal melalui peringkat Barstov (13.6 jtl) bagi subepok Miosen Pertengahan.[1] Microtomarctus wujud selama hampir-hampir 7 juta tahun.
Seperti borofagin lain ia mempunyai rahang dan gigi kuat yang menghancurkan tulang.
