Mark David Chapman (lahir 10 Mei 1955) ialah seorang penjenayah Amerika yang membunuh ahli muzik Inggeris John Lennon, bekas ahli The Beatles, pada 8 Disember 1980 di luar kediaman Lennon di gedung pangsapuri Dakota di Manhattan. Chapman melepaskan lima tembakan di Lennon dengan revolver Charter Arms .38 khas, mengenanya empat kali di belakang. Untuk beberapa minit akan datang, Chapman kekal di tempat kejadian membaca novel JD Salinger The Catcher di Rye sehingga beliau ditangkap oleh polis. Beliau merancang untuk memetik novel itu sebagai manifesto beliau.
