Malakit adalah sejenis mineral berkarbonat tembaga, dengan formula Cu2CO3(OH)2. Galian berwarna hijau ini menghablur di dalam sistem kristal monoklinik, dan kebanyakannya membentuk jisim bergugus, berserat, atau berstalagmit. Hablur individu adalah sangat jarang tetapi masih wujud sebagai prisma halus ke jejarum. Pseudomorf terhadap hablur azurit lebih pipih atau berblok juga wujud.[1]
