MATE
MATE (/ ˈmɑːteɪ /) adalah persekitaran desktop yang terdiri daripada perisian sumber terbuka dan bebas yang berjalan pada sistem operasi Linux dan BSD. Seorang pengguna Arch Linux dari Argentina memulakan projek MATE untuk membuat garpu dan meneruskan GNOME 2 sebagai tindak balas kepada penerimaan negatif GNOME 3, yang telah menggantikan bar tugas tradisionalnya (Panel GNOME) dengan GNOME Shell.
