Lamba

Kain lamba berlipat-lipat dijual di pasaran

Kain lamba (sewarisan kata sifat Melayu lembar[1]) tradisional dianyam dari kulit haiwan, sutera, kapas atau rafia yang menyarung tubuh kededua kaum lelaki dan perempuan masyarakat Malagasi di Madagaskar.[2]

Didapati dalam bermacam-macam corak dan warna mengikut citarasa setempat, dari yang penuh dengan corak warna hingga putih polos. Kain berwarna tertentu menentukan tujuan khusus:[3] "lembar inai" (lambamena) yang digunakan untuk membalut mayat berwarna merah melambangkan tanah turut diwarisi etnik serumpun leluhur di Kalimantan.[4]
