Kuap ialah refleks penyedutan udara dan peregangan gegendang telinga serentak, diikuti oleh penghembusan nafas. Pandikulasi ialah tindakan kuap dan peregangan secara serentak.[1]

Kuap biasanya berhubung kait dengan kepenatan, stres, keterlebihan kerja, kekurangan rangsangan dan kebosanan, sungguhpun kajian baru-baru ini menunjukkan ini mungkin berhubung dengan penyejukan otak.[2] Pada manusia, kuap kerap dicetuskan oleh yang lain menguap (contohnya, melihat seseorang menguap, bercakap dengan seseorang di telefon yang menguap) dan merupakan contoh tipikal maklum balas positif.[3] Fenomena ini turut diperhatikan pada haiwan seperti cimpanzi dan anjing.[4]

"Kuap" atau "uap" berasal daripada "*huab" bahasa Melayu-Polinesia Purba yang berasal daripada "*Suab" bahasa Austronesia Purba.
