Kesan visual (visual effects, disingkatkan kepada VFX) ialah proses di mana pengimejan membuat atau memanipulasi luar konteks dari rakaman aksi secara langsung dalam pembikinan filem. Kesan visual dalam integrasi rakaman aksi secara langsung (kesan khas) dan pengimejan hasil penjanaan (kesan digital) mencipta suasana yang kelihatan realistik, namun dapat membahayakan, menghabiskan perbelanjaan, menyimpang, menghabiskan masa atau tidak dibenarkan untuk dibuat pada sebuah filem.
