James Hood (16 Mei 1948 – 4 Disember 2017) merupakan ahli politik Scotland dari Parti Buruh, yang juga merupakan Ahli Parlimen dari 1987 sehingga 2015. Beliau pernah mewakili Clydesdale sehingga 2005, sebelum mewakili Timur Lanark dan Hamilton.

Pada 7 Mei 2015, Hood telah mengalami kekalahan kepada calon Parti Kebangsaaan Scotland, Angela Crawley.

Hood mengahwini Marion McCleary pada tahun 1967; dikurniakan sepasang anak dan dua orang cucu. Beliau mengalami serangan jantung pada tahun 1998.[1] Hood telah meninggal dunia pada 4 Disember 2017, di usia 69 tahun.[2]
