Irbid (Arab: إربد), yang dikenali pada zaman purba sebagai Arabella atau Arbela (Άρβηλα dalam bahasa Yunani Purba), merupakan ibu kota dan bandar terbesar Kegabenoran Irbid. Ia mempunyai penduduk metropolitan kedua terbesar di Jordan selepas Amman, dengan populasi sekitar 2,003,800.[3] Sebagai sebuah bandar, Irbid adalah yang ketiga terbesar di Jordan, selepas Amman dan Zarqa.

Irbid terletak kira-kira 70 kilometer (43 bt) di utara Amman di rabung utara Gilead, jarak yang sama dari Pella, Beit Ras (Capitolias), dan Um Qais, dan kira-kira 20 kilometer (12 bt) di selatan sempadan Syria.
