ISO 2

S-twist dan Z-twist

ISO 2 ialah sebuah piawaian antarabangsa untuk penetapan arah pintal untuk benang, benang kompleks, serpihan, slubbings, rovings, tali dan produk yang berkaitan.[1]

Piawaian ini menggunakan huruf besar S dan Z untuk menunjukkan arah putar,[2] seperti yang dicadangkan oleh arah condong bahagian tengah kedua-dua huruf ini. Kecekapan belitan ialah arah belitan semasa mereka menjauhi pemerhati. Oleh itu Z-twist dikatakan kidal, dan S-twist adalah kidal. Konvensyen menggunakan kedua-dua huruf ini untuk menentukan arah putar yang jelas telah digunakan dalam industri kordage (tali) pada tahun 1957.[3]
