Harar[a] (Amhara: ሐረር; Somali: Herer 𐒔𐒗𐒇𐒗𐒇; Arab: هرر) adalah sebuah kota berkubu di timur Habsyah. Kota ini terletak di puncak sebuah bukit berketinggian 1,885 meter di bahagian timur Oromia, kira-kira lima ratus kilometer dari ibu kota Addis Ababa. Ia ibu kota Zon Hararghe Timur dan ibu kota Wilayah Harari.[2]
Kota ini pernah menjadi suatu pusat perdagangan utama menghubungkan antara tanah Habsyah dan seluruh Tanduk Afrika kepada Semenanjung Arab malah sejauh dunia luar. Hubungan yang dijalinkan kota ini dengan orang-orang Arab menjadikan ia kawasan larangan perobohan oleh pemerintah negara Habsyi kini. Tapak kota lamanya iaitu Harar Jugol disenaraikan sebagai Tapak Warisan Dunia UNESCO pada tahun 2006[3] merangkumi rumah-rumah batu, muzium dan tinggalan zaman perang. Ia tutut menempatkan 82 buah masjid, tiga daripadanya berasal dari abad ke-10 serta 102 buah makam[4][5] sehingga memberi jolokan Kota Awlia (مدينة الأَوْلِيَاء).
