Geomatik

Geomatik ditakrifkan dalam siri piawaian ISO/TC 211 sebagai "disiplin berkenaan dengan pengumpulan, pengedaran, penyimpanan, analisis, pemprosesan, pembentangan data geografi atau maklumat geografi".[1] Di bawah definisi lain, ia "terdiri daripada produk, perkhidmatan dan alatan yang terlibat dalam pengumpulan, penyepaduan dan pengurusan data geografi".[2] Ia termasuk kejuruteraan geomatik (kejuruteraan geodesi dan geoinformatik, dahulu dikenali sebagai kejuruteraan ukur) dan berkaitan dengan sains geospatial (juga kejuruteraan geospatial dan teknologi geospatial).
