Ganto
Ganto (龕灯, がんどう) ialah sejenis lampu mudah alih yang dicipta pada Zaman Edo. Lampu ini hanya menerangi arah hadapan sahaja. Ia dikatakan digunakan oleh pencuri ketika menyelusup masuk ke dalam rumah atau oleh penangkap pencuri upahan untuk mencari pencuri. Jadi ia digelar "pelita pencuri" (強盗提灯, がんどうちょうちん). Dibuat daripada besi atau kayu, luarnya kelihatan seperti bakul. Sebatang lilin ditetapkan tengah-tengah gelung besi di bahagian dalamnya. Biarpun ke arah mana pun lampu ini diputar, lilin itu akan sentiasa berdiri tegak. Dengan itu, api lilin tidak akan terpadam.
