Filem Z adalah sebuah filem bajet rendah yang mempunyai kualiti lebih rendah daripada filem B.
Sejarah dan istilah
Istilah filem Z (atau filem gred Z) timbul pada pertengahan tahun 1960-an sebagai penerangan formal tertentu tanpa ragu-ragu bukan A filem. Ia segera diguna pakai untuk mencirikan gambar bajet rendah dengan standard kualiti jauh di bawah filem B dan juga apa yang dipanggil filem C. Walaupun filem B mungkin mempunyai skrip dan pelakon biasa-biasa status popular atau agak tidak diketahui, sebahagian besar peranan mereka diutamakan, dirakam, dan disunting.
