Enema

Enema picit kecil

Enema adalah suntikan cecair ke dalam usus besar melalui rektum[1] dengan suatu alat khas yang turut dinamakan sedemikian.[2] Ia kerap digunakan dalam bidang perubatan untuk situasi tertentu termasuk pelegaan sembelit dan pembersihan usus sebelum pemeriksaan atau prosedur perubatan;[3] perawatan cirit-birit,[4] memasukkan makanan, air atau ubat merangsang sistem umum secara setempat, pengurangan suhu[1] dan sebagainya.
