Detergen

Detergen ialah sebatian, atau campuran sebatian, yang digunakan dalam tugas pembersihan.

Bahan utamanya ialah garam natrium bagi asid organik yang dinamakan asid sulfonik. Asid sulfonik yang digunakan dalam pembuatan detergen merupakan molekul berantai panjang yang mengandungi 12 hingga 18 atom karbon per molekul.
