Curie

Curie (simbol Ci) adalah satu unit terdahulu bagi keradioaktifan, ditakrifkan sebagai 3.7×1010 pereputan per saat. Ini adalah secara kasarnya aktiviti 1 gram isotop radium 226Ra, satu bahan yang dikaji oleh pelopor-pelopor bidang radiologi, Marie dan Pierre Curie (unit ini dinamakan bersempena mereka[1][2]). Curie telah digantikan dengan satu unit terbitan SI, becquerel (Bq), yang bersamaan dengan satu pereputan per saat. Oleh itu secara tepatnya:

1 Ci = 3.7 × 1010 Bq = 37 GBq, dan sebaliknya 1 Bq ≅ 2.7027 × 10−11 Ci
