Cgroups


cgroups (singkatan control groups, bermaksud "kelompok kawalan") ialah satu ciri inti Linux yang membatasi, mempertimbang, dan mengasing penggunaan sumber (CPU, ingatan, I/O cakera, rangkaian, dsb.) sekelompok proses.

Para jurutera di Google (terutamanya Paul Menage dan Rohit Seth) telah memulakan kerja keatas ciri ini pada tahun 2006 dengan nama "process containers" (bermaksud "kontena proses").[1] Pada penghujung 2007, tatanamanya telah ditukar kepada "control group" supaya tidak berselisih dengan istilah "kontena" dalam konteks inti Linux, dan kefungsian kelompok kawalan telah disertakan dalam garis utama inti Linux pada versi inti 2.6.24, yang telah dikeluarkan pada Januari 2008.[2]
