BitLocker Drive Encryption

BitLocker Drive Encryption adalah ciri pelindungan cakera penuh yang termasukkan dengan sistem-sistem pengendalian Windows Vista dan Windows Server 2008 direkakan untuk melindungi data dengan memberikan pelindungan untuk seluruh isipadu. Dalam lalai ia menggunakan algoritma pelindungan AES di mod CBC dengan kunci 128 bit, digabungkan dengan perbauran Elephant untuk keselamatan tambahan[1].

BitLocker yang sahaja terdapat dalam edisi Windows Vista Enterprise dan Ultimate[1]. Di WinHEC 2006, Microsoft menunjukkan versi pra-tonton Windows Server 2008 yang mengandungi sokongan untuk isipadu data dilindungi BitLcoker sebagai tambahan kepada pelindungan isipadu sistem pengendalian.
