Kehidupan awal
Samberg dilahirkan di Berkeley, California. Ibunya, Marjorie "Margi" (née Marrow), ialah seorang guru sekolah rendah, dan bapanya, Joe, ialah seorang jurugambar.[2] Beliau mempunyai dua adik-beradik perempuan, Johanna dan Darrow.[3]
