Ambika Bhakti Mod (/ˈʌmbɪkə ˈbʌkti ˈmoʊd/; lahir pada 2 Oktober 1995)[1][2] adalah seorang pelakon, pelawak, dan penulis dari United Kingdom. Beliau mula dikenali melalui wataknya dalam drama bersiri BBC iaitu This Is Going to Hurt (2022) dan siri pendek Netflix, One Day (2024).

Kehidupan awal dan pendidikan

Beliau dibesarkan di Potters Bar, Hertfordshire[3] melalui sebuah keluarga yang berhijrah dari India; ibunya tiba di UK dari kecil manakala bapanya sewaktu berusia 20-an.[4] Dari sudut pendidikan, beliau mula bersekolah di Dame Alice Owen's School[5] serta menamatkan pengajian ijazah sarjana muda dalam Pengajian Inggeris dari St Mary's College, Durham.[6]

Sewaktu awal kerjayanya, beliau telah bekerja sebagai pembantu peribadi di Condé Nast pada waktu pagi serta diakhiri dengan persembahan komedi di waktu malam.[4][7] Minat yang mendalam dalam bidang lakonan telah mendorong beliau untuk mengikuti sebuah kelas di Theatrix Performing Arts of St Albans yang terletak di Abbey Theatre. Di St. Mary's College, beliau telah menjadi presiden bagi kumpulan aneka ragam serta mengadakan persembahan bersama-sama[8] Tom Harper pada Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2015.[9] Selain itu, beliau turut menubuhkan sebuah kumpulan duo dengan Andrew Shires yang dinamakan sebagai Megan from HR.[10][11] Sehingga kini, beliau turut kerap mengadakan persembahan di teater komedi improvisasi, The Free Association, London.[12]
