4G

4G ialah generasi keempat teknologi rangkaian selular jalur lebar, menggantikan 3G, dan sebelum 5G.[1] Sistem 4G mesti menyediakan keupayaan yang ditakrifkan oleh ITU dalam IMT Advanced. Aplikasi yang berpotensi dan semasa termasuk akses web mudah alih yang dipinda, telefon IP, perkhidmatan permainan, TV mudah alih definisi tinggi, persidangan video dan televisyen 3D.

Piawaian WIMAX keluaran pertama telah digunakan secara komersial di Korea Selatan pada tahun 2006 dan sejak itu telah digunakan di kebanyakan bahagian dunia.
