PRDX6
پروکسیردوکسین ۶ (انگلیسی: Peroxiredoxin-6) یک پروتئین است که در انسان توسط ژن «PRDX6» کُدگذاری میشود.[۵][۶] این آنزیم یکی از اعضای خانوادهٔ آنزیمهای آنتیاکسیدانی پروکسیردوکسین است.
پروکسیردوکسین ۶ دو کارکرد متفاوت و دو جایگاه فعالِ متمایز و مجزا دارد. این آنزیم در تنظیم واکنشهای اکسیداسیون-احیا در سلول نقش دارد و می تواند علاوه بر احیای H(2)O(2)، زنجیرههای کوتاه ارگانیک هیدروپراکسید را در اسیدهای چرب و فسفولیپیدها احیا کند.
این پروتئین در تنظیم تغییر و تبدیل فسفولیپیدها و محافظت سلول در برابر آسیبهای اُکسیداتیو نقش دارد.[۶]
