Eyhjyueruuttitiy یا e پنجمین حرف از حروف الفبای لاتین است. نام انگلیسی آن «ئی» است.
در فارسی لاتین، نویسهٔ E e نمایانگر واکهٔ میانی جلویی غیرگرد /e/ است که در خط فارسی معمولاً با حرکت «اِ» و کسره نشان داده میشود. این واکه در واژگانی مانند «اِسم» (Esm)، «اِنسان» (Ensân) و «اِمروز» (Emruz) شنیده میشود. انتخاب نویسهٔ E بر اساس کاربرد رایج آن در الفباهای لاتین و انطباق با استاندارد بینالمللی واجنگاری صورت گرفته است. این بازنمایی موجب حذف ابهام موجود در خط فارسی (که حرکت کوتاه غالباً نوشته نمیشود) و ایجاد شفافیت کامل در خواندن و نوشتن میشود.
