Situo
La vilaĝo situas sur ebenaĵo kaj sur mildaj deklivoj, laŭ maldekstra bordo de Nitra (rivero), laŭ flankovojoj.
Historio
La unua mencio pri la loko devenis el 1248 en formo Cheg. Tiam la kampoj apartenis al fortikaĵo Nyitra, poste al aliaj. En 1910 loĝis tie 635 da homoj, (hungaroj en majoritato, slovakoj en minoritato). Ĝis 1919 la vilaĝo apartenis al Nyitra (reĝa departemento), al distrikto de Nyitra, poste al Ĉeĥoslovakio, fine al Slovakio. Post la 2-a mondmilito la hungaroj estis parte deportitaj, la restintoj iĝis senrajtaj laŭ Dekretoj de Beneš. En 1956 la vilaĝo ricevis kurenton. En 2001 loĝis tie 1024 da homoj, (550 hungaroj, 467 slovakoj).
