Vadejo
Vadejo aŭ travadejo estas loko, kie oni povas trairi riveron, vadante, do kie la akvo estas tiel malprofunda, ke homo povas paŝi sur la fundo kaj lia kapo estas ĉiam super la akvonivelo. Plej ofte oni travadas riveron sur ĉevalo aŭ nun en aŭtomobilo, tiukaze la akvo ne devas esti tiel profunda, ke necesus naĝo.
Historie vadejoj estis gravaj kunvenejoj de homoj, nelaste komercistoj, kaj ofte lokoj de setlejoj, ankaŭ de fortikaĵoj, ĉar ili gravis por defendi la transiron de malamiko. En pluraj lingvoj la vorto "vadejo" estas parto de urbonomoj, ekzemple:

- rumane vad (pluraj vilaĝoj Rumanio havas la nomon Vad)
- ukraine брод (la nun ukrainia Brodi historie apartenis al pluraj regnoj)
