Uedo
Uedo[1] aŭ vadio[2] (el la araba vorto وادي, ŭādī) estas la fluejo, ofte sekiĝinta, de rivero en dezertaj regionoj de Afriko kaj Azio. Nur post pluvegoj ilin plenigas - ofte eĉ abunda kaj torenta - akvo. Uedoj povas entranĉi sin en la ĉirkaŭan dezerton ĝis profundeco de 100 metroj. Sekve iliaj valoj povas havi krutajn flankojn. Multaj oazoj kaj ties daktilpalmaroj situas en uedoj.
