Robert HARDING forpasis je la 7-a de aprilo 1998 en Napier (Nov-Zelando), kie li funkciis jardekojn kiel delegito kaj kiel fakdelegito pri dom-konstruado kaj rozkultivado. Li estis dumviva membro de UEA, mecenato. Li iĝis idisto kaj faris proponon Ido antaŭenirigita kiel reformo de Ido en 1925.
Li batalis kontraŭ literaturo en Ido, ĉar al li, internacia lingvo ne havu monosilabojn aŭ dusensajn vortojn.
