Rai (arabe راي) estas formo de popola muziko, kiu originis en Orano kaj Aïn Témouchent, Alĝerio fare de Beduenaj paŝtistoj, mikse kun formoj de muziko el Hispanio, Francio, Afriko kaj de araboj en la 1930-aj jaroj.

Kantistoj de rai estas nomata ĉeb (ŝabab, junulo) male al ŝeiĥ (ŝejĥo, malnova), nomo donita al kantistoj de ĉaabi. Tiu tradicio aperis en urboj kiaj Orano, Relizane, Mostaganem, Chlef, Aïn Témouchent kaj Sidi-Bel-Abbès, ĉefe inter malriĉuloj. Tradicie kantita de viroj, je la fino de la 20a jarcento kantistinoj oftiĝis.
