Praskribsistemo
Pra-manuskripto estas sistemo de simboloj kiu reprezentas ideogramon aŭ memorhelpilon kiu antaŭis la manuskripton. La sistemo de simboloj estis intencita por transdoni informojn sed verŝajne ne povis transdoni rektajn informojn kiel en natura lingvo kaj tial ne povas esti difinita kiel skribita, sed similas multmaniere. Proto-skribo troveblas komence de la neolitika periodo ĉirkaŭ la 7-a jarmilo a.K.
La skribsistemoj, kiuj aperis en Eŭrazio komence de la 3-a jarmilo a.K., ne aperis el la aero sed iom post iom evoluis el la pra-skribo, el kiu evoluiĝis preskaŭ ĉiajn skribaĵojn en la Malnova Mondo.
