phpBB estas libera programo por retforumo. Ĝi estas programita en la programlingvo PHP kaj subtenas plurajn datumbazojn, ekzemple MySQL, PostgreSQL kaj MSSQL.
Historio
Evoluon de phpBB ekis James Atkinson la 17-an de Julio 2000 kun celo provizi simplan retforumon por sia retpaĝaro.
La versio 1 estis oficiale eldonita la 9-an de Decembro 2000.
La versio 2 (kromnomita "Super Furry") estis eldonita la 3-an de Aprilo 2002.
La versio 3 (kromnomita "Olympus") estis oficiale eldonita la 13-an de Decembro 2007.
phpBB kaj Esperanto
Ne ekzistas oficiala Esperanta traduko de phpBB.[1] Ekzistas tamen neoficiala, nekompleta komunuma traduko farita en 2007.[2]
