Ŝipo ordinare havas plurajn ferdekojn super la fundo de la hulo. La orlopo estas la ferderko plej proksima al la fundo de la hulo.
La orlopo ordinare kuŝas subakve. Oni ofte stivas kablojn sur la orlopo.
Etimologio
La vorto estas ĝermana (angle orlop, germane Orlop), el nederlande overlopen “superkuri”, pro ĝia loko super la hulo.
