Situo
Orešany situas laŭ flankovojoj. Topoľčany troviĝas 26, Piešťany 12 km-ojn.
Historio
La unua skriba mencio pri la vilaĝo devenis el 1330 en formo "Gyos". En 1598 la turkoj bruldetruis la vilaĝon. En 1787 vivis tie 248 homoj en 48 domoj, en 1828 280 homoj en 40 domoj. En 1910 loĝis en Tótdiós 336 homoj, (312 slovakoj, 16 germanoj, 8 hungaroj). Ĝis Traktato de Trianon la vilaĝo apartenis al Hungara reĝlando, al Nyitra (reĝa departemento), al distrikto de Galgóc, poste al Ĉeĥoslovakio, inter 1938-1944 kaj ekde 1993 al Slovakio. En 2001 loĝis en Orešany 318 homoj, (315 slovakoj, 2 ĉeĥoj, unusola hungaro).
