Michael SILVERSTEIN (naskiĝis la 12-an de septembro 1945 – mortis la 17-an de julio 2020^[1]) estis usona lingvisto. Li estis profesoro de antropologio, lingvistiko kaj psikologio ĉe la Universitato de Ĉikago.^[2]

Li estis teoriulo pri semiotiko kaj lingva antropologio. Li estis ankaŭ akademiulo pri la indiĝenaj lingvoj de Aŭstralio kaj Usono. Li estis grava figuro en la movado por lingvistika pragmatiko kaj faris grandajn kontribuojn en lingvistika antropologio, sociolingvistiko, metapragmatiko kaj filozofio de lingvo.
