Matrix estas malferma protokolo por realtempa komunikado. Ĝi estas bazita sur JSON. Ĝi estas desegnita por permesi al uzantoj komuniki unu kun la alia tra enreta babilejo, Voĉo super IP kaj Video telefonio.
