Ekzemplero de MENACE, konstruita de Matthew Scroggs

Matchbox Educable Noughts and Crosses Engine (Esperante: Alumetskatola Maŝino por lerni Tiktakton) estis komputilo (kalkulilo), kiu estis farita el 304 alumetskatoloj. Ĝi estis konstruita de Donald Michie en 1961, por ludi Tiktakton kontraŭ homoj. Estas unu el la plej fruaj ekzemploj de Artefarita intelekto.

Konstruo

Michie ne havis komputilan ekipaĵon por MENACE, kaj uzis anstataŭe alumetskatolojn.[1] Li konstruis ĝin por veto.[2] Unue, Michie kungluis 304 alumetskatolojn kune. Li markis ĉiun skatolon per numero. Stokregistro enhavis ĉiujn numerojn. Ĉiu skatolo havis diagramon de unu potenciala aranĝo de la Tiktakta krado.[3]

Ĉiu skatolo enhavis plurajn kolorajn bidojn.[4] Ĉiu kolora bido reprezentis unu potencialan movon de la komputila ludanto. Dum la movo de la komputilo, la homo ĉerpus unu hazardan bidon el la skatolo, kaj ludus la similan koloran movon.[5]
